Its been a long day so far. The only spark of hope I had so far is walking to the kitchen to get coffee I caught a glimpse of my s2000 in the lot. I cannot wait for my commute home.
Here she is atop pikes peak last week!

I made it up to Mt. Evans last weekend. It was miserable.

Oh please tell me why it was miserable I was planning on doing that drive. What were you driving up?

I took the bike up. 09 Daytona. Everything was fine and dandy - a bit chilly - until tree line. A bit of sleet, ~32ish at the top, kinda cloudy, then ~40ish mph steady winds with gusts a bit more than that. I parked my bike and thought the wind might blow it over. Had to re-park facing into the wind.
Found a little gem of a road I had forgotten about though. Nice and smooth, minimal traffic.

I recently picked up an S an couldn’t agree more. I honestly don’t know that I’ll be able to sell this thing without making a huge upgrade to another car. Enjoy the drive home!!

I just test-drove an AP2 half an hour ago, so we must be channeling! LOVE that car!

Just washed mine for an event tomorrow morning. Fun times, though I may have to sell it soon ...

Yeah, unless I found a well maintained NSX for a price I can afford I do not see myself selling this car. And even at that point it would probably be a second car with the NSX

Yeah, you should buy it. It is hands ddown the best decision I have made in the last few years. I sold a focus ST to get this thing and I would NEVER in a million billion trillion years think twice about that decision. Should anything ever happen to this S2k I will get another. No Questions Asked.

I just washed mine yesterday as well to get the mountain dust off of it. Why are you thinking about selling?

Is the main road up pretty busy? Are the drop offs like Pikes peak or is it more normal? I am really interested in driving evans as well as the San Juan Skyway which is aparently one of the top ten roads in the world.

The road up wasn’t too bad. It was labor day weekend, but the people at the gate kept cars pretty spaced out. Drop offs aren’t nearly as bad as Pikes Peak. Only a couple places where the road falls off. The road isn’t nearly as long as Pikes Peak either. You start higher relative to the top, so the grade isn’t as severe. The top is closed now but there isn’t anything at the top really. No gift shop or anything, just a restroom.

Thought that view looked familiar! Colorado Springs oppo here. This afternoon was beautiful, hope that drive home included a run up the pass.

Wife wants a house.
Take care of yours. I’ve had mine for 3 years, and even completely unmodded the novelty of driving it has not worn off.
The event, FYI:

Oh I love this car. I plan on keeping it very very stock. Its my daily driver. I’m not upset about putting miles on it. The beast begs to be driven...its even fun sitting in traffic in it. It is seriously the most satisfying car I have driven. Which is saying a lot. Truly a dream come true to own.

Really wish I could make it to that. Next year I will plan ahead and road trip out. I drove across the us in this thing already and it was amazing, I cannot believe what a comfortable car this is given its a roadster. Just figured I’d be tired of it but when I got to my destination I actually went for a drove around town haha

San Juan Skyway is amazing. So far only driven it in an RV, but do it asap. I’m going to go back with the 986 next summer.

I like the sound of that idea! Let me know if you want any support if you kick off such an endeavor.
